Delhi, the capital city of India has always overwhelmed its visitors with its rich history, life, culture, food, temple and that is the reason why people also call it Dilwalon ki Dilli” city with a big heart. So I have been in this city for around past 9 months and what I have discovered so far is the people of Delhi are just looking for quality in life. No matter how much they earn but living in style, spending lot of bucks various accessories, and of course they all are big time foodaholic, which is the best part I love being here, there are so many awesome food points in the city as you just cannot say No to it.

1.) Visiting old Delhi

Old-Delhi, the heart of Delhi, is the best place in Delhi for cheap shopping, eating authentic food, and to find the busy streets. In old Delhi, you can have world famous parathas in “Parathe wali Gali”, for shopping there is cloth market, electronic market to buy cheap electronic items, and not to forget the spice market.

2.) Dilli-ki-Chaat

Delhi is also famous for its chaat( fried wafers loaded with potatoes, chickpeas, yogurt, and chili), Golgappas and Ram Laddu(Deep fried moong dal fritters topped with shredded radish and tangy chutneys). This is also a must have when visiting Delhi. Famous one is “Nataraj Dahi Bhalla Corner in Old Delhi”

3.) Qawallies at Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia Dargah

If you are fond of Sufi music or love the Islamic culture, then visiting this sacred place on Thursday evening is the best thing you can do. Listing live Qawallies mostly sung by Nizami brothers is like making a connection directly with the God.

4.) Gurudwara Bangla Sahib

12.) Akshardham Temple

Delhi trip is incomplete without visiting this temple, this beautiful temple is one of the biggest Hindu temples in India, with carved sculptures of God and Goddesses on sandstone, the temple itself is a great piece of art. The temple sees thousands of visitors daily. The temple showcases the best of Indian Culture. 

13.) Lotus Temple

Lotus Temple New DelhiThis temple showcases  Baha’i Culture. The temple is designed in the shape of Lotus flower and has 27 petals constructed from marble stone. So visiting this place and you can also visit Kalkaji Mandir or the ISKCON temple as these are also nearby to this place.

14.)Jama Masjid

Jama Masjid biggest mosque in IndiaIt is one of the largest mosques in India and was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. The place is awesome and another reason which also makes it double awesome is the non-veg meal at nearby culinary institutions Karim’s or Al-Jawahar, famous for their roasted meat kebabs.

15.) Delhi Metro

Delhi Metro lifeline of DelhiThe lifeline of Delhi is the Delhi metro, visiting above mentioned places of any another place in Delhi just enter to any one of the metro station and with a maximum fare of Rs 30 you can travel anywhere in Delhi in just no time, but beware of the rush, which is increasing day by day.
