Recently I was on 3 day Odisha trip with my Family and luckly we were present in the starting month of July when Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra was started and we were so blessed to see all the devoties of Lord Jagannath who rushed in Puri for the rath Yatra. There were around 14 lacs devoties estimated who was going to present at the final day of the return journey via Rath of lord Jagannath. 

So In this blog Lets take a look at the beautiful city Puri which has many beautifull attractions to see.

Puri is called as the religious capital of Odisha and is also considered as a leading pivot of the journey in India. Puri is one of the famous places which is popularly known for its historic ancientness, spiritual property, architectural splendor, scenic beauty and cautious climate. Being an inshore district of Odisha, it is placed near the Bay of Bengal. It’s prosperous beaches are other attraction for the world over traveler. Some of the incredible attractions of Puri are as follows:

1) Jagannath Temple

The most famous temple Chariot Festival of Lord Jagannath takes place in Puri. In this particular festival, the temple images are move out of the temple to the all over the street in three vast rides in the name of Nandighosha for the Lord Jagannath, Taladhwaja for Lord Balabhadra as well as Darpadolana for Goddess Subhadra. The chariots are pulled by devotees till the Gundicha temple which is believed as Lord’s aunt house and three lords girdle there for about nine days. Nine days later, the traveling is continual in the alternate0 direction. There is no any entry fees for this temple. It is opened at 5:00 AM – 11:00 PM all days of the week.

2) Chilka Lake

The most famous and the largest coastal lake of India and the second largest lake in the world. Chilika Lake is the unpalatable water lagoon as well as home of migrant birds and infrequent and vulnerable Irrawaddy Dolphins, Satapada is also known as the Dolphin Sanctuary, which is located near Puri. There is no any entry fees to visit this place. It is opened all days in the week from 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM.

3) Konark Sun Temple

Konark Sun Temple is an essential place in Odisha and also conspicuous on different list of Seven Wonders of India. The complex is in the form of a large carriage with a great carved stone wheels, pillars as well as walls. In Konark temple one can completely enjoy the earthy beauty of the Marine Drive Konark while campaign. The sunrise here is quite beautiful and enthralling. This is 3 km outside from Konark.

Now one can enter in the marvels of time as well as space, the deluxe stone house of art and also architecture. The entranceway ticket might be purchased at Rs 5/- per Indians and about US $ 5 for foreigners. Konark since the ancient times is a celebrated as a center for Sun worship. It has a long practice of Sun worship interlacing with numerous legends as well  as stories.

4) Puri Beach

Beaches of Puri are pictured by a long outline of Bay of Bengal with the golden sand,deep blue sea and beautiful climent. Puri beach is applaud as a Hindu inspirational place and is one of the most famous attractions in the region. 5) Chandrabaga Beach

Chandrabhaga Beach is also considered as one of the finest beaches on the eastern coastal area of India. The beach is placed at a distance of about 3 km from the World Heritage Site Konark Temple. The beach holds great value in the cultural as well as time-honored recognition of Orissa. Chandrabhaga Beach is believed to have witnessed the rise and season of the Konark Temple as it holds the cultural importance and many of the cultural activities are held at the Chandrabhaga beach.
